We organize Volunteer-led training rides of varying lengths and difficulties designed for people of all fitness levels. This is your chance to get in shape while meeting Riders in your neighbourhood! There’s a whole community of fellow Riders out there for you to connect with while getting ready for this epic journey. Remember, everyone else who has registered for The Enbridge ®Ride to Conquer Cancer® is in the same situation as you. They may not be ready now, but they will be with regular training and our help. The Ride Welcomes Back Toronto Bicycling Network
The EnbridgeŽ Ride to Conquer CancerŽ is pleased to welcome back the Toronto Bicycling Network to help support our Riders for this year’s event. TBN is the largest recreational cycling club in the GTA and starting March 2017 will once again be offering a series of weekly training rides for every level of cyclist in a variety of locations across the GTA.
The best part for Ride to Conquer Cancer participants is that these rides are free from March until June 9. Each training ride has a dedicated ride leader, and maps of all routes are available in advance, so no work is required on your part—just show up and ride! This provides solo Riders and teams alike a great opportunity to meet new people and get in some additional training.
What’s more, TBN has a special partnership with the Adelaide Club for once weekly spinning classes for TBN registered members. There are a limited number of these paid Wednesday evening spinning sessions available on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to join TBN and start your training in January, please visit the TBN site (http://tbn.ca/programs/fallwinter/spinning) to learn more about the new eight-week session of classes that start on January 18.
Once you sign up for The Ride, you’ll be invited to various training rides to prepare you for event weekend. And last but not least, you can always call your Ride Guides with any questions about training. They will be able to provide you with one-on-one guidance to ensure you reach your goals.

Remember, these kilometre guidelines are an ideal plan. If you can't fit all of this into your schedule, don't get so discouraged that you avoid riding altogether—just do what you can! Consistency is the key to proper training. The more you train, the more you'll enjoy The Ride.
