Beginning Monday, April 24, we will show the power of our Ride community in celebration of Epic Impact Day on Friday, April 28!
In a single week, we’re asking every Rider to make an impact by getting one donation—or more!—by April 28 . Whether it’s your first or final donation as you ride towards your fundraising goal, join our entire Ridership as we unite to show our Epic Impact!

KPMG is offering all Ride Community Teams an EPIC opportunity to show their passion for the cause through the “Share the Love” Community Team Challenge.
Between Saturday, February 4—World Cancer Day—and Tuesday, February 14—Valentine’s Day—each Community Team that raises $2,500 or more will qualify to receive 1 of 10 $2,500 matching gifts, courtesy of KPMG! On Valentine’s Day, KPMG will select by a random draw up to 10 eligible Community Teams and donate a matching $2,500 gift towards their fundraising goals! INDUSTRY CHALLENGE
Teams are one of the true pillars of The Ride, and because of that we want to both CHALLENGE you and REWARD you! Join the Industry Challenge! We are challenging you to make the biggest impact possible through fundraising. Teams drive critically important funds to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, supporting its vision of Personalized Cancer Medicine: finding the right treatment for the right patient, at the right time.
You will engage in a friendly competition against other teams within your industry, with top teams winning ultimate recognition, including a trophy and year-long bragging rights! All teams with 5 or more Riders have a chance to win!
Teams will be grouped into industry categories and then ranked by average fundraising dollars per participant and overall team fundraising. It doesn’t matter if you have 5 or 500 team members, all that matters is that each team member is contributing to increasing fundraising dollars.
Challenge other companies in your industry to join your team or start their own, and join us on this epic journey! We’re here to support your team and provide you with the tools and resources to be successful for The Ride!
The top teams in each industry category and community team category will receive:
- On event recognition
- Special invitation to the post-event recognition night
- Trophy for top team in each industry to be presented at recognition night

Here’s how it works…
During the month of January, The Ride is awarding $500 in fundraising credit to 25 Riders who recruit new female participants for our 2017 event between January 9 and January 31. Moreover, we’re giving $500 in fundraising credit to each of those new participants.
To be eligible to win the Women on Wheels credit, have your referred Rider use code WOW during the registration process. In addition, your name must be entered when she is prompted to fill the referral area. In early February, a draw will then be held where 25 pairs of registered Riders and their new referred female Riders will be selected to receive the credit.
It’s a win-win for all Riders who want to increase their fundraising impact and the women who can strengthen our extraordinary Ridership. So reach out to the phenomenal women you know and encourage them to sign up for The Ride today!
